My Server crashes on startup with this error, it is supposed to be fixed according to github, but I still get this issue

open create_tracks.dat in the data/ folder of your save and find the broken train and delete it

also is there no way to fix it without deleting the train?

well no one really knows what causes this
it really just happens, its hard to fix properly
if it happens again you'll need to find the broken train and delete it again
