Comrade Rock Astley
For conducting wires, resistance is proportional to temperature

yes but we have to find the value of N, and we have not got the delta t value or alpha value in the q, so how do we do it mathematically?
Comrade Rock Astley
In that case alpha x delta T must cancel out at some point Or you can relate i^2R x t (heat) with the temperature increase This assumes that the resistance is constant, so use this if alpha x delta T doesn't cancel out
