Finding the right pant
Hello!
I love my mfpen Studio Trousers. They're my only real "wide leg" pant that's in the wardrobe, and it gives me the platonic ideal of a break on my little shoes.
I'd love to find some more recommendations in this lane that cover a few criteria:
1) Not as dressy/flashy/statementy as a shimmering gold pant.
2) Nothing technical/milsurp looking. I wear khakis primarily, but am open to lightwash denim or lighter tones in general.
3) No drawstrings and no elasticated waistbands.
Budget is like, I dunno, under $500, with preference towards cheaper than $200 or vintage.

I honestly think you could go for any wool trouser in a full cut with a crease down the front. I find they only read as formal as the rest of the fit does.
I like grey wool flannel for this but it’s more of a 2-3 season option.
If you have time on your hands, thrift is a good option for wool pants I find.

I dunno I personally feel that gramicci leans too tech for isaacs wardrobe
they just look and feel like cotton pants, but they will look more techy if you tuck your shirt

I'm gonna be trying the jeans on through different avenues, but I wanted to ask about the Khaki EGs here. Have you seen them, are they lighter or darker do you find?
like I don't mind the hue in pic 1 but not as crazy about pic 2
Any kind of khaki that's in the lane of those jeans is gonna get considered too. I looooooove khakis
i have not seen them sorry 😦 yeah it's hard, sometimes the product photos are like a hue off from what you expected
your best bet is to find the lookbook and see if they're in there

I have the natural twill jacket and its even lighter than the khaki if you prefer that
And it has a little bit of natural speckling from the natural cotton
