PC Build not giving the best results
So I have
GPU- AMD Radeon Rx 6950XT
CPU- i9-14900kf
Ram- 2x 16gb DDR4 Ram sticks (32gb in total)
PSU- 1000W
SSD- 2TB
Monitor- 2560x1440p 144hz
Mother board- Pro Z690-A Wifi DDR4
I play Valorant, COD, Apex Legends, Overwatch, Fortnite.
Basically in all of these games it varies but with Valorant specifically I have huge frame drops. The match will start off with 600 fps and then as I proceed to the rounds where we all have guns and abilties I can see it drops to 200 fps minimum. You may be confused as to why im complaining about 200 fps and thats because the 200fps is insanely choppy and it really feels like im playing on a 90hz monitor. Thats the thing with Valorant and Overwatch. These games can reach High fps but as soon as it drops close to 200 fps it feels so bad and choppy. I dont understand how that is considering I have a 144hz monitor and a CPU and GPU that should be able to handle stressful tasks well. Also I noticed that When I cap my fps to the Monitor (144hz) the game shows screen tear and it will pop up at the bottom of my screen and then make its way to the top and disappear. Its basically on repeat and as soon as I uncap the FPS it goes away. I find this to be weird because I though that uncapping FPS causes Screen tear not capping it.

You can try and play around with the visual settings within the game to boost fps
ur pc is starting to die
check ur psu cables that can cause the cpu and gpu to lose power
if they are burnt that means ur pc is dead u need either a new psu or new cables
for me u should buy a whole new psu
check if it fits btw
yeah the screen tear happened to me with fortnite i needed a new display cable and about the fps the other guy is probably right but also make sure your cpu isnt overheating for some reason because those intels run super hot but valorant is a really easy game to run so idrk
intel cpu's have failings rn so he maybe needs a big ass AIO thats as big as his whole body except if he's a newborn but mostly if he wants something that will work better take off the 14900kf and the z690 and just buy a 7950x3d better in valo and can do really good performance or he can buy a 7800x3d which he can call a downgrade but it is the best gaming cpu or he just needs a new gpu cpu
since ddr4 has low mhz
i have a 7800x3d its never overheated
