Body fluids and Circulation (Zoology)

Need help finding an 'official' answer to this q- online sites disagree over whether it's option B or D. Personally think it's D, but would be great to know whether this was a PYQ, and what the key said.

if u consider oxygen exchange per unit area it must be alveoli since the partial pressure of oxygen is greater at alveoli but if u consider the overall exchange then it should be d, idk but i think the question itself is faulty
PeterGriffinItis
It's B... Logically, none of the other options are correct

it says 'from' the blood, oxygen isn't exchanged from the blood in the alveoli, it's exchanged to the blood
PeterGriffinItis
Well, I thought of it as well... But can't be D either... Oxygen is exchanged by the tissues not the capillaries themselves

how is that? The oxygen from the RBCs in the capillaries is exchanged from the blood into the tissues, right? While CO2 is exchanged from the tissues
