Lb filters

Hi community,

We have a case where we are filtering a liveboard that has 2 worksheets on it and want to filter a column "Estimated Value" on one of the worksheets but not the other. We don't want to rename the column as that is the most intuitive name for it to have on both worksheets. Adding a duplicate column that has a different name could be okay for this use case but isn't ideal. I'm also not sure how to do that as both the table TML and worksheet do not seem to allow this. Do you have any alternatives or other ideas?

Hi,

This should be allowed. When you say worksheet is not allowing, WS do not allow duplicate names within the same worksheet. Across 2 WS should be fine.

Right. I can have, and currently do have, Estimated Value on 2 worksheets. The problem is I don't want my runtime filter to apply to both of these worksheets that are on the same liveboard I am applying the filter to.

@ashish they would like the functionality to be more similar to the Liveboard filter "Applicable to" functionality. When you set a run time filter it seems to match both columns from the two worksheets. Even if you link the filters and uncheck one of the Applicable to options the runtime filter will still override.

I see, for runtime filters we match based on name currently so the behaviour you are seeing is expected.

We would need to capture an enhancement request for this.
