thunderbird desktop notifications
How do I make thunderbird give me desktop notifications if I get new mail in the background, always even if I restart my pc I don't want to have to open it

afaik thunderbird is still not supporting tray in linux, only option is to switch client or just minimize thunderbird
I use thunderbird and I get those notifications with default settings on kde. Can't help more than that
I think the issue the user is having is that they don't want thudberhird open to get notifications? I think there is al extension to add it to the tray but I'm not sure
last time i checked there arent any working tray extension but it could change
