You'll have to divide f(x) into cos(x) and -cos(x) wherever cosx is positive and negative and then find the derivative of both in each interval This is different from sinx and |sinx| because the interval differs

when x is between 0 to pi/2 and 3pi/2 to 2pi cos x is positive then angle given is not in this interval so there will be an extra negative when you remove mod so you’ve to differentiate -cos x range is not given but you know where you’ve to evaluate, i.e., 3pi/4 so use an interval which agrees with the mod and this value
