Nvidia driver 555 causing apps to crash and kde lag
With this new driver I believe it has brought more problems then solutions. Gnome software is freezing on every app install. When I switch back to the integrated gpu its fine. I switched from kde to gnome to see if its better because kde was very laggy with the animations being slow, window previews were black. Firefox is crashing (i know the fix) also random apps are just slow or crashing.
Is there a way to install the 550 driver?

Did you rebase from KDE to Gnome?
No I reinstalled
KDE is really very laggy so far with the new driver, I switched to Gnome because of that. Aside from Software and Firefox crashing everything is behaving fine for me
I'm glad it's not only me
You can rollback to the previous builds I think, not sure if the key issue from #announcements still affects this
I'm not sure how to that I was reading the website but I still don't really get how to install an old build
bazzite-rollback-helper list
should offer some stable builds
Choose some build from before 3.5.0 (https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1074438180847239279/1257086738925359194) then bazzite-rollback-helper rebase <build>
should workDo you know which build has the 550 driver
From June 29th probably
Ok thanks
Np! Hope it works
The X11 session also should still available on the last builds, you can also try that
Nah I need wayland have multiple monitors with different refresh rate
I see, I also need it bc of VRR
To be back to the last build later you will need to run
bazzite-rollback-helper stable
U mean the latest build?
Yes, that command will put you back on lastest stable
In case you want to test it again after a fix comes
