No its +1 Cl -1 , Pt + 4 so 2x + -6 + 4 = 0 , x =1

-6+4=-2 So, 2x=2 x=+1

No, H is bonded to Pt, which is bonded to 6 chlorine hmm

I mean you need to find for H then why would you take pt as x? And Chlorine is also a part of the compound and gives -6 charge so -2 from H also wont make sense. The H -ve rule in metal hydrides mostly occurs when it is just hydrogen and a metal. Please correct me if i'm wrong
