How do i get X11 back?
After the last update, X11 stoped working and i discovered in the release notes that it was dropped. But I need Anydesk and Discord streams to work -> both doesnt on wayland.

For discord use vesktop
For anydesk I think you can just force xwayland
Or use any other remote thingy
that one has such an ugly icon. tried to change it in properties of the file and its still this
X11 is dead. It's no longer installed by default in Fedora, and the KDE SIG at Fedora has promised to close + won't fix any X11 issue
I recommend doing what you need to do make Wayland work, and filing bugs where you can't
We are adopting a similar approach. X11 won't be installed unless absolutely necessary and won't be supported
Anydesk has specifically said they dont support wayland meaning its not a bug to report and its a thing that i dont know if its fixable from my end. And its also that the application is somehow important to me. Discord is the only other issue, but there is a fix by downloading modified version of Discord...
hijacking this one - how do you force xwayland for anydesk?
like ive been trying to google the way how to do it
and found nothing
In the flatpak permissions can't you block wayland so it uses xwayland? I don't know just speculating I don't use any desk
And both Ubuntu and Fedora have made this decision to ship Wayland as the default and drop X11
so read that as "anydesk doesn't support linux"
and ask them to fix it
or switch software
the wayland socket is already disabled on the flatpak
one of the other issues with wayland for me is, that if the laptop goes to some sort of sleep mode (when i just go away for like 15 minutes and i come back) the screen turns black and theres is no way of turning it on without rebooting the system with the power button. I have Lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3.
ive tried to fix it multiple times and nothing worked, each time i asked, everyone just said switch to x11
