radon is a noble gas
noble gases arent radioactive?
no
oh ok what about At
Astatine is radioactive
SOO it doesnt undergo Lanthanoid Contraction?
D and f subshell k baad lanthanoid contraction weak hojata h
ohh to weak hote hote At tak LC affect nahi karta?
Hmm
like Tl se Po tak hota hai and then on At it doesnt
Dekho d and f subshell aane k baad wo weak Hota jata hai
This can be a reason of ur question
but aise to kya Tl Bi Po wtc me bhi electron p shell me ja raha hai but waha to ho raha hai

Sir help krdo thodi
Ptable.com
Can you share the source of this?
I have shared data above. You can check it out.
Dhanyayaad sirji
We were being taught the periodic table chapter in that our teacher gave us this diagram where elements from Tl to Po all went under Lanthanide Contrarion and hence the Zeff and I.E changed periodically but in that as well the I.E change due to LC is only till Po... I'll send the photographs of the things this is really messing with my mind 💀
Yea I should have... At that time we had a test and I was just thinking ki abhi bas padha ke likha do test deke achche se padhenge (which is why I didn't revise properly at the time) and now when I am revising properly I have no idea why it's happening
sir is polonium a Metalloid?
or not
bcoz in ptable.com it is shown as post transition metal
and in other periodic table, the one I have at home, it is a metalloid
Ok sir
@Deleted User done?
Yes sir ,
It's a metalloid and radioactive too !
Cool!
YOO i got an explanation... I got told that since there are 14 elements in the Lanthanoid Series only the 14 elements after Lu are affected by Lanthanoid Contraction, which precisely ends at Polonium and hence At does not undergo LC
idk thats what my teacher told me 💀
AI said this
nice!
