Heat of comb is inversely proportional to the stability of alkane, Is case main check hybridisation and see ki kya H atom and ch3 are in the same plane and are they close (side note kuch cases main aise questions main H bonding dedete)

could you pls elaborate main samjha nahi yaha toh saare carbons ki hybradisation same hai (sp3) also i think jo teen alkyl grps lage hain, ig unki relative stability dekh kar determine karenge ki zyada staable kaun (but kaise karenge? kya rules hote? plane ke ek upar ek neeche stable ya smth like that? )

is the answer option D

lmaodedXDOP7mo ago
yes d hai

see ismain I check steric repulsion, angle strain less the angle strain(the more far apart the grps) more the stability hence lesser the heat of combustion

by that logic, in R all the grps are equally spaced toh usme least repulsion nahi hona chahiye?

wedge and dash bhi haina
lmaodedXD
lmaodedXDOP7mo ago
accha so you did smth like this: 2 wedges should be far placed and 2 dashes same, but a wedge and dash don't repel that much cus one is above the plane and one is below

I'll trying doing it, its been a while since I've touched oc Hybridisation check karo more the S character shorter and stronger the bond, more en aswell
lmaodedXD
lmaodedXDOP7mo ago
i did, first wale mein saare hi carbons sp2 hain but answer bhi a hi hai
Max_34561
Max_345617mo ago
bredts rule maybe
lmaodedXD
lmaodedXDOP7mo ago
yes yes i'm familiar with that but yaha shorter longer nahi pucha na wot's that

Ig ismain nhi hai but Bridge head carbon is never be sp2 hybridised/ planar

lmaodedXDOP7mo ago
no bridge here tho

try finding the BO ha its about bond order, acha q tha

fck MOT wala? 😭

Max_345617mo ago
nah its ok, strike nhi karta kabhi kabhi simple formula hai Ismain kaise nikalte the main bhul gaya
lmaodedXD
lmaodedXDOP7mo ago
(no of bonding orbitals - no of antibonding orbitals)/2 ye wala?? but itne bade organic compounnds ke liye thodi hai ye 😭 damn koi na i'll try googling it thanks again

That I remember but I forgot How to do it for these There used to be some trick

You’d have to find bond order (I found a weird explanation at vedantu and don’t exactly know what it’s saying but yeah) https://www.vedantu.com/question-answer/which-of-the-following-compounds-do-not-have-all-class-11-chemistry-cbse-60bcb3a58dae44639e31ea63
