Bazzite 3.5.0 Stable unable to login on Wayland session, met with black screen
Hi, since upgrading to 3.5.0 Stable I'm unable to login on the Wayland session. I will boot to the login screen, enter password, go to black screen, hear login chime but nothing displays.
I'm able to log into the system under the X11 session but not sure how to fix Wayland not working.

I had this happen earlier to me. Quick question, are you using HDR on Wayland? If so, that might be the problem, I had to disable HDR on my main monitor in order to use Wayland.
You're actually logged in when you hear the chime, if you have an non-HDR monitor, you can have that plugged in; unplug the HDR monitor and it should allow you to actually see your desktop.
If you have HDR enabled on all your monitors, you might have to somehow adjust your display settings on X11 for your Wayland session. Don't ask me how, I don't know sorry. Worst case you might have to rollback or rebase.
yeah that sounds exactly my problem, HDR OLED is one of my displays and the other is a normal LCD
well, I would say login, unplug your HDR monitor and see how it goes
yeah HDR is in somewhat of a busted state it seems. I'm able to use the monitor if I turn off HDR on the monitor itself. I can seemingly turn HDR back on and have to disable and re-enable the monitor then put on HDR again. I also can't let the PC go to sleep otherwise I can't seem to get back in with HDR on after it resumes from sleep
I also got a crash of SDDM on a VM

I'm having a similar issue. I have two HDR monitors, after 3.5.0 update, one of my monitors must be put INTO HDR mode to remedy blank screen issue... even though I have switched back to X11 which has no HDR functionality
