resonance

Suppose the pi electrons in reso are in a situation where it can make a few more reso structures, or it can do back bonding ( for example, a sulfur with + charge)... What would the reso electrons prefer to do?

Can you please elaborate a bit more with some example to make the question a bit clearer?

See usually back bonding is considered more stable(depends intramolecular or intermolecular). But in some cases that structure could be a reso struc and we check stability

@Max_34561 @Varun_Arora for example here will it prefer to make the next two reso structures, or backbond?

Shoot I read as H - bonding, nah back bonding main vacant p/ d orbital is req It's done b/w the BO of one And ABMO of the other atom Ismain reso hi hoga
