It sounds like your system may not be recognizing the changes you're making in your BIOS. First, ensure that your motherboard and BIOS firmware are fully updated. If the issue persists, double-check that you are following the correct steps to enable Secure Boot in UEFI mode:
1. Restart your computer and go into BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing a key like F2, DEL, or ESC during startup).
2. Navigate to the Boot or Security tab and find the Secure Boot option.
3. Make sure Secure Boot is set to Enabled. Sometimes, secure boot settings require you to set a “Standard” or “Custom” boot mode.
4. Save the changes and exit the BIOS.
If it still shows as off, it might be necessary to reset your BIOS settings to default, then re-enable UEFI and Secure Boot. If you're still encountering issues, consider reaching out to your motherboard manufacturer's support for more specific troubleshooting steps.
