To ensure VALORANT runs on your GPU instead of your CPU, follow these steps:
1. For NVIDIA Users:
- Right-click on your desktop and select
NVIDIA Control Panel
.
- Go to Manage 3D settings
.
- Select the Program Settings
tab.
- Click Add
and find VALORANT (VALORANT.exe)
on the list.
- Under Preferred graphics processor
, select High-performance NVIDIA processor
.
- Click Apply
.
2. For AMD Users:
- Right-click on your desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings
.
- Navigate to System
then Switchable Graphics
.
- Find VALORANT.exe
in the list of applications.
- Change the setting to High Performance
.
- Click Apply
.
Additionally, make sure your laptop's power settings are set to High performance
to avoid any power saving measures that might force it to use integrated graphics.
