Unable to install
Hey! Eager to try Bazzite for the first time. However when i try to boot the installer from my USB, it goes through the checks etc. But then the screen goes completely black, and after a while my monitor just "disconnects" and nothing really happens.
Any tips?

How did you flash the USB?
like this
It's in Norwegian but i hope you somewhat understand it
dw they got a norwegian in the team (me) π€£
have you tried skipping the media check?
essentially its the option above it when you boot the usb
as we have had instances of the media check failing even though everything is OK with the usb
alright brb, ill try
:salute:
just @ me when you are done
guessing it worked?
Hey! sorry! Had to sleep a bit
No i couldn't get it to work, same thing happened again
what is your hardware?
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070
TUF GAMING B550-PRO
16GB Memory
hmm makes no sense why you get a black screen on that π€
at least i dont see anything that sticks out
try use https://www.ventoy.net insteady?
Could you try change the MBR to GPT in rufus and see if that's the issue?
oh right
make sure you do not have CSM (Compatibility mode) enabled in the bios
and set the targetsystem to UEFI
as bazzite does not support CSM (which adds support for legacy bios booting) because this is not a 90s system π
Will give it a shot here π
Nothing seems to work :PepeHands:
tried all of the above so far
CSM was disabled
Targetsystem to UEFI
MBR to GPT
hmmm maybe try another tool for writing the ISO files to USB. https://www.ventoy.net/ is a great one as you can put multiple ISOs on that 32GB flash drive by just copying over the ISO files.
will try!
Nothing changes.
I tried the media on a different computer i have here, it works fine on that. So nothing wrong with the installation media
It seems like my monitor doesn't "start/connect" during the install
I get to the point where it says "Installer starting" or something like that, but when the GUI is supposed to pop ut it says my monitor has disconnected
I got a LG Ultragear 27GR95QE
Okey Yeap, its the monitor that does it, hooked up a different one and its works
interesting. is your monitor using hdmi or display port?
HDMI
Follwo up on this now that its installed i am able to hook up the monitor and it shows, but it doesn't allow med to set 240hz, only 119,88hz
nvm that one was on me, it was set to a way higher resolution for some reason :salutebed:
