P Block doubt

If Germanium shows inert pair effect then in terms of stability, GeX2>GeX4 But in NCERT, the stability order is vice versa. Why ? PFA

Sir , I read the other paragraph in NCERT , I got that line which stated that the Germanium forms stable compounds in +4 . May be this info which I got in Google might be wrong .. So sir , could we conclude that Germanium doesn't shows inert pair effect ?
