Amount To Spend On First Blazer
Looking at buying my first blazer. Should I spend an okay amount of money on my first one and should I stick with black or navy?

Not black. Navy, or gray or brown herringbone tweed, if you want a classic ivy look.
The first time I’m wearing it will be at a wedding
If you shop secondhand, you can find a nice blazer in great condition for $50. New, probably $350-400 is as low as I'd go, as that's what Spier and Mackay costs.
What colour would you look for with gray pants and a blue shirt
Navy blue
Navy is safest. Gray herringbone would probably work too.
Do you know your measurements and size? If not, you probably want to buy in person so you can try on.
I like that gray colour
Don't forget to account for tailoring costs, although depending on where you buy it, some basic alterations will be included in the price.

I like this a lot
I would recommend wool first, unless you live in a really hot climate.
I live in Canada haha
Navy Hopsack Blazer (Horn buttons) would be nice for a first blazer
I don't love that pattern. This is also a very casual, summer blazer. It has patch pockets and it's unlined. It might be too casual for a wedding.
If you're in Toronto, you can go to the Spier and Mackay store.
If I wear this at this wedding I’ll be over dressed probably 😂
Lol fair enough.
This tbh
Personally I enjoy being a little overdressed
I’m trying to get it what point as well I’m used to dressing like a slob lol
This one looks nice
Tho what pants are you going to wear with it?
Not those I’ll be wearing gray I should have taken a picture
That's nice!
Do you plan on getting a blazer to wear regularly or is this a one time thing only?
Right now this one thing
Hmm if you're willing to buy secondhand, there's a lot of GREAT options that wouldnt break the bank and last for a long time. I would suggest buying something off of ebay.
Hmm okay
