If you're unable to hear voice chat but can hear everything else, your account may not be banned. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot:
1. Check Audio Settings:
- Make sure your input and output devices are set correctly in the Windows sound settings and in VALORANT settings.
- Ensure the voice chat volume is not set to 0%.
2. Test with a Different Headset:
- Sometimes the issue can be hardware related. Try another headset to see if the problem persists.
3. Check Privacy Settings:
- Ensure that VALORANT has access to your microphone in Windows privacy settings. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and make sure that apps can access your microphone.
4. Update Drivers:
- Ensure your audio drivers are up-to-date.
5. Check for Overlapping Software:
- Apps like Discord or certain antivirus software can interfere with the in-game chat. Try closing them to see if that resolves the issue.
6. Clear Network Configuration:
- Run the following commands in an admin Command Prompt:
netsh int ip reset
, ipconfig /release
, ipconfig /renew
, ipconfig /flushdns
, netsh winsock reset
.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact Riot Support for further assistance.
