Higher ping on closest server after router change yet other servers are not affected

Just yesterday, I changed my router (same ISP) and for some reason, my ping in Singapore servers went from around 10 to 100+ while other servers' ping remained the same Ive tried restarting the router and flushing the DNS but nothing seems to work It's not Singapore servers problem as my friends had no change in ping, only me

It sounds like the router change may have altered your network routing, causing higher latency to the Singapore servers. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Check QoS Settings: Ensure your new router's Quality of Service (QoS) settings are not limiting your gaming traffic. 2. Firmware Update: Make sure your router firmware is up to date as updates can fix network issues. 3. Traceroute Test: Run a traceroute to the Singapore server to identify where the latency spikes. In Command Prompt, type tracert [IP Address of Singapore Server]. 4. Port Forwarding: Ensure that VALORANT ports are properly forwarded in your router settings. 5. ISP Routing: Contact your ISP to check if there are any routing issues on their end. If none of these steps help, consider reverting to your old router to see if the ping returns to normal, which would confirm the new router as the issue.
