It sounds like a background process related to Riot Games is still running, which is blocking the uninstallation of VALORANT. Here are the steps you can follow to resolve this issue:
1. Close Riot Games Processes:
- Open your Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc).
- Look for any processes related to Riot Games or VALORANT (e.g., RiotClientServices.exe, VALORANT.exe, Vanguard).
- Select each process and click "End Task".
2. Uninstall Riot Vanguard:
- Open the Control Panel.
- Click "Programs and Features."
- Find and uninstall "Riot Vanguard."
3. Uninstall VALORANT:
- After ensuring all Riot processes are closed and Vanguard is uninstalled, try uninstalling VALORANT again via Control Panel or Settings > Apps.
If the issue persists, a system restart might help clear any lingering processes. Once everything is uninstalled, you can proceed with a fresh install of VALORANT.
