To resolve the issue where you cannot uninstall VALORANT because the Riot Client appears to be running, try the following steps:
1. Task Manager: Press
Ctrl + Shift + Esc
to open Task Manager. Look for any processes related to VALORANT or Riot Client and end them (right-click > End Task).
2. Restart PC: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve lingering process issues.
3. Safe Mode: Boot your computer in Safe Mode and try uninstalling the game from there. Safe Mode runs only essential programs.
4. Third-Party Uninstaller: Use a third-party uninstaller tool like Revo Uninstaller or IObit Uninstaller to force the removal of VALORANT and the Riot Client.
5. Manual Uninstall: Navigate to the installation directory (usually C:\Riot Games\VALORANT
) and delete the files manually. Then, run a registry cleaner tool (like CCleaner) to remove any leftover registry entries.
6. Reinstall then Uninstall: Sometimes reinstalling the Riot Client can fix any issues and will allow you to uninstall it properly afterward.
If these steps don't work, check the Riot Games support site for further assistance.
