a critical error has occured and the process must be terminated- please help me
i don't understand why since the new update my game takes so long to launch and when i finally manage to open it it puts an error page "a critical error has occured and the process must be terminated" i've tried to solve it by myself without success. and yes i've uninstalled and reinstalled several times already.

I had the same issue and saw on another thread here that someone turned off their malwarebytes anti-virus and is worked for them. Same solution was able to work for me too
how do i turn malwarebytes anti-virus it off

if it is for the secure boot thing i have it off and i tried to turn it back on but it said i had to be in user mode or somthing lioke that

im ngl I have just been playing valorant console in the mean time ðŸ˜
my game was working yesterday but just after the new update it just crashes and shows the " critical error" msg. I've tried updating my graphics card drivers, deactivating my anti virus, deactivating some 3rd party apps, no errors on sfc scan, re-installed vanguard and the client, change the services of "vcguard" ( dont remember the name sorry). ran the game as admin.. and still the same error ( im on win 10)
i have the same problem as you and i have done everything but the anit-virus thing idk how to turn it of

i have done all the things as well still no luck
okay so for me i had to reinstall my nvidea gpu from their official website (go to their website and press drivers, then find the driver you have and download it and follow the steps) if that doesnt work try launching valorant and let it crash but dont close it, open event viewer on your pc and go to windows logs and then applications, then click on the latest error and it should show the cause. try deleting the app it shows is holding u back from playing, if u cant find it i recommend copying the .dll file name and looking it up on google to see what the problem could be. 🙂
