Fun colors for shorts
I am looking for a pair of shorts with a fun color, to wear any day of the week (at work - very casual - or when going out). I already have black and "stone" chino shorts, and I was considering getting some light blue or teal shorts (see pics). I usually wear shorts with any t-shirt or casual button-up shirt that fits well, color-wise, with the shorts.
I want some advice:
- Are these colors versatile?
- Are they in style right now?
- Are there other, better fun colors I should be going for?
- Any other advice?
(I am aware that the Patagonia shorts in the first pic may not go well with a button-up shirt.)

the question of if they're versatile in color depends on what other things you're wearing with them - white and light gray go with both, so does navy, other colors may vary
are they trendy? in some places and in some styles yes (preppy, ivy) but more importantly is how you feel wearing them
would other colors work sure? virtually any color, though i would try on more saturated hues or printed shorts as well
biggest advice is to wear them proudly - if you're wearing a fun pair of shorts you may draw attention, you just have to embrace that's the cost of wearing what you like
also baggies definitely can go with button down shirts, though they may not be the most professional
