visual studio code beginner mistake?

Im just starting out and am watching a video where i have to use .Net to generate assets for build and debug but an error is just showing up that says: Could not locate .Net Core project in 'folder'. Asstes were not generated :/ Can someone help me i cant find the mistake. If you need further details just dm me or comment in this post
