This typically happens if the disparity in rank between you and your friends exceeds the rank limit allowed for queuing together in competitive mode. VALORANT has restrictions to prevent players of widely different skill levels from playing ranked games together. You'll need all members within a specific rank range (usually within 2-3 ranks of each other) to queue for ranked games together.
If you're close in rank but still can't queue, double-check for any recent rank changes from the match you just played.
