So, what's the deal with parry registration? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have more than plenty of hours in this PTW sloppy slop of a game, and yet, I never figured out what the sweet spot of parry reg is. Sometimes, my parries will work fine, able to register the opponent stunned halfway through their swing animation and before them swinging. Sometimes, it only works BEFORE the opponent swings, and does not work against them mid-swinging. OTHER TIMES, it never works at all. So, what's the deal? Is it cause of ping spikes? I'm on ethernet so I doubt ping spikes are the answer. Couldn't be a skill issue since I know I can pull off parries at those sweet spotted times. Hell, could be a skill issue for all I care. TL:DR: when's the best time to parry?

A: Probably as soon as your opponent swings. It's a prediction based parry system, meaning there's never going to be a pixel perfect time to press F. Especially with the horrible D-sync/input lag and delay. Instead of trying to find the right time to parry try predicating when your opponents are going to swing.
It’s handled client side so it depends on on if the player had swung their weapon on their screen and it hadn’t registered on yours. Basically they swung on their screen but it hasn’t swung on your screen yet. That’s often why parry’s don’t work. It has a lot to do with internet connection and ping.
Hello this is just due to server lag possible high ping cause you to parry delay sometime your pre parry won’t even work because of lag and delay.
