Asian tailoring brands redux
Hey,
I made a thread awhile back looking for examples of these (thank you to those who contributed to it, I am sorry for not writing a response!)
@Shrimp my Ride and anyone else who may know: are there any brands I can proxy search for that make jackets with a low gorge and buttoning point? I know of course about the anthology. Additionally looking for full cut trousers as well as OCBDs with a 14 collar that are a full cut.
Thank you!

Honestly, you are better off going MTM
the price difference is quite brutal though in the US at least
Is there anything out there for just like a tweed jacket? 🥲
Um, I love Ring Jacket, but the gorge is not that low. Kamoshita does the cut you are describing, but you are definitely getting into the over 1000 usd range.
For OCBDs, I love Kamakura
Thank you! As in Camoshita the United Arrows brand? Is Camoshita still making new stuff btw?
Also do you know which Ring Jacket model has the lowest gorge and buttoning point?
Camoshita still does seasonal collections. Honestly I am not sure what is available online or overseas.
I am very much an in-person shopper, so I may not be so much help to you. Same thing with ring jacket. I don't know model names or anything, I just go to the shop and look at their current collection.
RJ has more or less the same buttoning point for all their jackets, which is low. Most of their gorgeous are swept back, though some are not.
What do you mean by swept back?
Swept back as in, the the gorge sits quite high on the shoulder.
In more traditional neapolitan tailoring, the gorge sits higher and there are no vents, to give the silhouette a sense of being "swept back" over the shoulders and around the sides.
Of course not the only cut out there, but at least in Japan, a low buttoning point is often accommpanied by a swept back lapel....long and with a high gorge.]
What you are asking about is a house cut, and what
is common in Japan is not those two things together....not that it doesn't exist.
You might try Beams F, only because they collect such a wide variety of cuts from different Japanese and European brands, that you will probably find something.
