The error you are encountering suggests a problem related to Secure Boot. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Verify Secure Boot Status:
Even if Secure Boot is enabled in BIOS, it might not be recognized correctly. You can check the status in Windows:
- Open the Run dialog by pressing
Windows + R
.
- Type msinfo32
and press Enter.
- Look for "Secure Boot State" and ensure it says "On".
2. Reset BIOS Settings:
Sometimes, simply resetting the BIOS settings to default and then re-enabling Secure Boot can resolve the issue.
3. TPM Configuration:
Double-check that TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is enabled in your BIOS/UEFI settings as it works in tandem with Secure Boot.
4. Check for Windows Updates:
Make sure your Windows is fully updated. Sometimes, missing updates can cause such issues.
5. Reinstall Riot Vanguard:
There might be an issue with Riot Vanguard. Try uninstalling it:
- Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features.
- Find "Riot Vanguard" and uninstall it.
- Restart your computer and launch VALORANT again to reinstall Vanguard.
6. Contact Support:
If none of the above steps work, it might be best to submit a ticket to Riot Games Support for more detailed assistance.
