Messenger Bag for Summer Internship/Internship Outing
first time posting here, fairly urgent, I have a work outing tomorrow at a place that doesn’t allow backpacks, and was therefore looking to pick up a messenger bag that can hold a 14 inch laptop for $150 at most if that’s doable, I live in NYC so is there any good models to look for in that price range/any good stores to check out?

LLBean contrast handles tote with long handles and embroidery if you are into city chic
Any ladies handbag with a long strap. I have a Kelly rep which I bought for cycling, lol. Fits the laptop. 150 is a budget for some middle level stuff like Coach or Furla.
There’s always Eastpak and Herschel for the streetwear-ish/courier with a fixed gear vibe.
Also, you can hit the goodwill for bowling bags, I suppose!
What is your vibe, clothing-wise? It would help to narrow the search
going to mainly be a work bag, so mainly work with sports coats/ocbms

Not the best solution, but all things considered it will be nice, will fit classic looks and not be too much of a hassle
yeah for this amount of time i think you're either gonna have to sacrifice a little cachet or get lucky
Or something casual, but with a twist, like uniqlo or dickies tote transformers that you carry both as a backpack and as a bag when you are in the office
LL Bean had some filson style bags back in the days, idk if still
you could always call crossroads or buffalo exchange and see if they have anything from filson or coach or tumi or allen edmonds or even a mall brand (banana republic, zara, j.crew)
barring that, i think target has some decent looking filson knockoffs
