It sounds like the Riot Client is still running in the background, even if it doesn't appear to be. Try the following steps:
1. Close Riot Processes: Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and end any processes related to Riot (RiotClientServices.exe, VALORANT.exe, etc.).
2. Uninstall VALORANT: After closing the processes, try uninstalling VALORANT again from the Control Panel or Settings.
3. Uninstall Riot Client: If prompted to stop any Riot processes, go back to Task Manager to ensure everything is closed.
If you continue having issues, you may need to:
1. Restart Your Computer: This ensures all Riot processes are completely terminated.
2. Use a Third-Party Uninstaller: Programs like Revo Uninstaller can be more effective in removing stubborn software.
3. Manual Removal: As a last resort, you can manually delete the installation folders from C:\Program Files\Riot Games and clear any related entries in the Registry Editor (run
regedit
, but be cautious as improper changes can affect your system).
