Valorant not starting: Troubleshooting issue
My friend downloaded valorant for the first time. After opening it from the launcher theres loading screen but after like 1 min a system error pops up saying
"A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated.
Would u like to create a crash dump to aid the developers in troubleshooting this issue? This may take up to 5 minutes.
NOTE: The process may appear unresponsive during this time "
Is there any way to fix it without making a support ticket? thanks for any help!

This error typically indicates an issue with either the Riot Client or the Vanguard anti-cheat system. Here are steps to potentially resolve this:
1. Restart: Begin by restarting both VALORANT and the Riot Client.
2. Update: Ensure both VALORANT and Windows are up to date.
3. Reinstall Vanguard: Uninstall Riot Vanguard via "Control Panel > Programs and Features," then restart your PC. Launch VALORANT to reinstall Vanguard.
4. Check Background Software: Disable any non-essential programs, especially third-party software that might conflict with Vanguard.
5. Graphics Drivers: Update your graphics card drivers to the latest version.
6. Admin Rights: Run VALORANT and the Riot Client as Administrator.
7. Firewall/Anti-virus: Ensure VALORANT is allowed through your firewall and that your anti-virus isn't blocking it.
If none of these steps work, a support ticket might be necessary to resolve the issue completely.
