Bootable Drive
Hi, sorry for the very noob question but I have the following problem. When I download the ISO file from the website for my ROG ally everything downloads fine. It's a file of about 800MB.
When i try to use Etcher, it tells me that the ISO lacks the partition table, and thus is not bootable. Same with Rufus. Am I just getting a bad download or is there an extra step that I should take to get the image to be bootable?

Solution
the iso is NOT 800MB so your download is incomplete
Okay, do you have an idea where to get a workable ISO from since the Torrent link is not there, and every time I tried to download the ISO I got the 800MB version of it

we do not provide torrents because it was not feasible and there were issues with updating them automatically.

Again just an measly 8MB iso file
should be 8.6gb
Let me check on a different browser
Tried on Edge but that didn't recognize the download link in the first place, downloading chrome, just in case
Chrome says no
may I ask which version did you pick? KDE or Gnome?
same one you did
if it was gnome, it would be in the name
Well Gnome is for some reason downloading for me. I am not sure what is causing this problem, but hey at least I will get the gnome version
if you want kde, download the -deck version and rebase to ally, only difference is some applications for the ally
I honestly would not know how to do that, but I have worked with Gnome before so I should be fine!
Thanks for the help!
np
just keep in mind that rebasing from gnome to kde is not recommended
Good to know! Thanks!
but rebasing lets you switch between images
