The "couldn't install certain dependencies" issue commonly occurs when certain required software components for VALORANT or Riot's Vanguard anti-cheat system fail to install or update properly. Here's a series of steps you can try to resolve it:
1. Run As Administrator:
- Right-click the VALORANT or Riot Client shortcut and select "Run as administrator."
2. Update Windows: - Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes missing updates can cause issues with dependencies. 3. Reinstall Riot Vanguard: - Uninstall Riot Vanguard by going to the "Add or Remove Programs" in Windows. - Restart your computer. - Launch VALORANT again, which should prompt a reinstallation of Vanguard. 4. Check .NET Framework: - Ensure that your .NET Framework is up to date as this is a common dependency. - You can download the latest version from Microsoft’s official site. 5. Disable Overlays: - Disable any overlays like Discord or NVIDIA GeForce Experience as these can sometimes interfere. 6. Clean Boot: - Perform a clean boot of your PC to ensure no background services are interfering. - Instructions for a clean boot can be found here: Microsoft Support. If none of these solutions work, you may need to reach out to Riot Support for a more tailored solution.
