If it's already a shortcut on Steam anyway, you'll only have two shortcuts for the same thing

i'm making a thread as to not busy up general
Just remember you need to unlock the AppImage before running it in the file properties

yeah i unlocked it, but now it shows no java?
while the flatpak shows 21 and 17 iirc
You can install java through brew
is java packaged into the prism flatpak?

There's other versions if you run brew search openjdk

You can if you install Prism in the container
Or run the AppImage from the container, but you might as well just install it normally

Just put "/home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/bin/java" manually on the path and verified it
I'm using PolyMC though, should be the same on Prism since it's forked from it
They're all just MultiMC with a different license anyway
what if i need two different versions of java?
i play on 1.20 which uses 17 and 1.21 which uses 21
You can override that per instance I believe

By the way the different java versions aren't in PATH for brew
They're in /home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/opt/openjdk@<version>/bin
