There's an
export-gpu
binary that lets you pick the GPU for game mode, try thatI did Experiment with export gpu. However now I just get a fuzzy white screen with no picture I think it may be a frame rate or resolution issue. Does anyone know how to tinker with those configurations for gamemode?
what egpu is this? as in which card is in it (dont have an egpu myself but the card has to be supported by gamemode)
I am running a onexgpu (Radeon RX 7600M XT) through usb4.
I'm going to soon be testing this script to see if this will resolve the issue I'm seeing. Will followup with my findings https://github.com/ewagner12/all-ways-egpu

After long experimenting I was able to successfully load gamemode with an egpu. However I do experience common crashing within games. Requiring a hard reset.
I've been trying to get the all-ways-egpu to install correctly I keep getting an error. " mkdir: cannot create directory '/home/libraryfolder.vdf' " I've ran the code it says to use for Fedora Silverblue. How did you get it to install?
Also if you are using USB4 the cable that comes with the OneXepgu it can cause crashing even in Windows. I tried a different cable in Windows and I haven't had any crashes.
Read the github for allways egpu you are using the wrong install method for bazzite. Also which cable did you get?
@itisntick I'm using an ASUS USB4 cable that came with my travel monitor. Though I have seen people recommend the a Razer Thunder bolt 4 or a high quality USB4 cable. I finally got All-Ways-Egpu installed. Which method did you use to get it working in game mode?
