Valorant ping

When I first started playing valorant (20220 my ping was 37ms- 40ms and I didn't play valo for over an year, And now my ping is 64ms - 76ms. I haven't changed my connection or anything. But for other games my ping is still 25 to 30 ish. So I was wondering what can I do to get my usuall 37ms ping. I am from Sri Lanka and the best server they show is singapore and mumbai. I tried selecting those manually and still my ping didn't even though low 50s. Any suggestions?

It sounds frustrating to have a higher ping than usual. Here are a few things you can try to lower your VALORANT ping: 1. Check Server Locations: Ensure you're connecting to the closest and most optimal server. For Sri Lanka, Singapore and Mumbai are generally the best options. 2. Optimize Network Settings: - Restart your router and modem. - Use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi if possible. - Close any background applications that might be using bandwidth. 3. Quality of Service (QoS): If your router supports QoS settings, prioritize gaming traffic over other types of traffic. 4. Update Network Drivers: Make sure your network adapter drivers are up to date. 5. Switch DNS Servers: Sometimes, changing to a different DNS server (like Google DNS or Cloudflare) can improve your connection speed. 6. VPN: Although not usually recommended for gaming, some players find certain VPNs can offer better routing paths to game servers. You could experiment with this, but be cautious as it might increase latency. If these steps don't improve your ping, make sure there's no issue with your ISP. Sometimes, they might route traffic differently based on game servers.
