Your laptop's specs are decent, but there are a few factors you may need to consider to achieve higher FPS in VALORANT:
1. Background Processes: Ensure you don't have unnecessary applications running in the background. Check Task Manager for high CPU/RAM usage programs and close them.
2. Power Settings: Set your power plan to High Performance. Go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> High Performance.
3. In-Game Settings: Lower some of the in-game graphics settings. Setting everything to low or medium can significantly increase FPS.
4. Driver Updates: Ensure your GPU drivers are up to date. From the screenshots, it looks like AMD drivers are up to date, but ensure NVIDIA drivers are also current.
5. NVIDIA Control Panel:
- Open NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings.
- Set "Power management mode" to "Prefer maximum performance."
- Set "Low Latency Mode" to "Ultra."
- Set "Texture filtering - Quality" to "High performance."
6. Dual Graphics Conflict: Ensure that your system is using the dedicated GPU (Nvidia RTX 2050) and not the integrated one (AMD Radeon). You can force VALORANT to use your dedicated GPU via the NVIDIA Control Panel.
7. RAM Upgrade: 8GB of RAM might be a bottleneck, especially with background processes. If possible, consider upgrading to 16GB.
Follow these steps and see if there is an improvement. If not, providing more details might help further diagnose the issue.
