Norwegian sweaters

Tell me what I need to know about Norwegian sweaters. Recommend brands and shops, styles and patterns, what to spend, and everything else. I am visiting Norway and am interested in shopping for sweaters and other warm things. Currently in Tromsø, heading to Bergen soon. We're skipping Oslo, but you're welcome to include recs there for posterity.

IIRC Dale is based near Bergen and makes very high quality sweaters with traditional patterns

Good to know. I am slightly familiar with Dale, as they sell in the states and Canada. My wife has one of their sweaters.

Might be late to reply, but this one is the nicest imo! I think you could size up on this one though, especially since it's a reasonably cropped length already! Get some more slouch going on

Yeah, I agree that's the best of the pics I posted, and I agree about sizing up. I'm going to see if there's more selection from Dale in Bergen, because they make absolutely beautiful sweaters, but the vibe wasn't right for the ones I tried on in Tromsø.

Made another discovery today: https://lofoten-wool.no/en . These are absolutely gorgeous hand knitted sweaters, made by local artisans from local wool in the Lofoten Islands, above the Arctic circle. They are not cheap: about 5500 NOK
