Idk about the ans but ik the method Just put 47/100n1hc/lamba1=n2hc/lambda2 HC will cancel on both sides so n1/n2=lambda1x100/lambda2x47 @Takt is this how u do it So ig it should be 4700x100/5080*47 Ig 1000/508? @Takt

one suggestion, ditch the 12400 formula, do from firs tprinciples nhc/lambda basically what hydra said yo you are right it should be 0.508 hi

But you assumed one quanta is absorbed so the number of quanta emitted will just be the ratio right

Look at the photo you sent In the Ea formula there was n that is number of photons but in the next step it's not there as you assumed it's 1

They're asking for ratio of number of photons so if you assumed 1 photon was absorbed then the number that is emitted will give the ratio
