electrochem series

in this q, if we do the same by reactivity series we get 8 to be the answer, but if we do it by electrochemical series we get 4 to be the answer. so how do we know when to use which and shouldnt the answer be same from both? can someone clarify with this?

This way technically zn al also form complexes right?

oh i didnt learn coordination complexes yet

Al does not react with water due to thin passive layer of oxide but reacts with steam while zinc reacts with water to produce hydrogen ga(zinc and al are somewhat active metals) This is not covered in coordination btw

Gotcha yea this theoretical idea is awesome. But basically we cant explain this just on the basic of the e chem series right. So it was my b to put this q in this chapter this early on shayad.
