valorant takes forever to load and sometimes freezes after agent selection

I'm pretty sure this has been posted a couple of times before, but none of the fixes/replies work whenever i open valorant, it takes forever to load (like at least a couple of minutes) and sometimes it doesnt even load, it just freezes. when i open task manager it says "not responding" until the game loads (or it doesnt and i have to restart my computer cuz i cant close the app). i have friends who play on lower-end laptops and val loads really fast for them. im currently playing on a really old gaming pc that gets like 300 fps in the range and 120-150 in-game, but its still a gaming pc. also, after agent selection and the game is about to start, valorant randomly freezes and i have to restart my computer cuz i can't close the app manually. i've recieved multiple afk penalties for this issue and i can't do anything about it. i use a windows 10 pc that cant upgrade to windows 11. can anyone help with these issues?

Sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing! Here are several steps you can try to resolve the loading and freezing issues in VALORANT: 1. Update GPU Drivers: Ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the GPU manufacturer's website. 2. Check for System Updates: Make sure your Windows 10 OS is fully updated. Sometimes important performance updates can impact how games run. 3. Run as Administrator: Try running both the Riot Client and VALORANT as Administrator. Right-click on their icons and select "Run as administrator." 4. Adjust In-Game Settings: Lower the in-game graphics settings or set them to "default" and see if it improves stability. 5. Modify Compatibility Settings: Right-click VALORANT’s executable (VALORANT.exe), go to Properties -> Compatibility, and check "Disable fullscreen optimizations." 6. Close Background Applications: Ensure that no other heavy applications are running in the background that might be hogging resources. 7. Disk Health and RAM Check: Run a disk check and memory diagnostic to ensure there are no issues with your storage or RAM. 8. Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot to make sure no other software conflicts with VALORANT. Instructions here: Clean Boot in Windows If none of these steps work, consider submitting a ticket to Riot Games Support for further assistance.
