Game Freezing making me force shutdown the device

The game had been freezing recently, audio and moving the mouse seems to be working but everything else is frozen. Unplugging the DP cable from my gpu then replugging it makes it a black screen. (It didnt come to my mind to plug it into the cpu) I took a break just before the cypher/viper nerfs and just came back. I had to force shutdown my PC 3-4 times so far. Not sure but this problem seems to be related to alt tabbing (into/out of) and it didnt get affected by changing the full screen mode. Specs: -12700k -3080 TUF factory OC -32GB ram -1440p 240Hz monitor

It sounds like your game is freezing and causing you to force shutdown your PC. Try the following steps to troubleshoot: 1. Update Drivers: Ensure your GPU drivers and BIOS are updated to the latest versions. 2. Check In-Game Settings: Lower graphic settings and disable "V-Sync" to see if it helps. 3. Monitor Refresh Rate: Ensure your monitor’s refresh rate is correctly set to 240Hz in both Windows and NVIDIA Control Panel. 4. Disable Overlays: Disable all overlays (NVIDIA, Discord, etc.) as they can interfere with the game. 5. Re-Install: Re-install VALORANT and Riot Vanguard to rule out any corrupted files. 6. Background Apps: Close unnecessary background applications to free up resources. 7. Alt+Tab Issue: Avoid frequent alt-tabbing. Use Windows Borderless mode if necessary, which can be more stable with alt-tabbing. 8. System Checks: Run "sfc /scannow" in Command Prompt to fix any corrupted system files.
