VALORANT, like many modern games, can be resource-intensive, particularly in terms of memory usage. Here are a few potential reasons why it might be consuming a lot of RAM: 1. Game Assets: VALORANT loads many high-quality textures, models, and other assets to ensure smooth gameplay and detailed graphics, which can take up significant memory. 2. Background Processes: The game might also be running several background processes, such as anti-cheat software (Riot Vanguard), game analytics, and other features which add to the memory usage. 3. Memory Leaks: Sometimes, games can have memory leaks or inefficient memory usage in their current version. Make sure your game is updated to the latest version. 4. Other Applications: Ensure other applications running in the background aren't also consuming too much memory. This might not directly explain VALORANT's usage, but freeing up memory elsewhere can help overall system performance. 5. Custom Graphics Settings: Higher graphics settings can also increase memory consumption. You may want to try lowering some settings to see if it reduces memory usage. If the problem persists, you might want to check the Riot Games support page or consider posting a ticket with detailed information for further assistance.

It's dependent on ur PC's ram, to run val + discord (with no problem) u want at least 16GB, you'll find things willl slow if a seach engine is open. Things like overwolf (for tracker and gameplay capture is fine) If you have 32GB then there shouldn't be any problem Whenever you have unnecessary stuff like any Microsoft apps or just anything you don't want open whilst playing val, just close them. BUT don't close the PC softwares, you'll know what they are bc you won't understand/know what they are
