Books for mains+adv
Hi i'm a 2026 jee aspirant. I am genuinely confused of how to start my preparation, even though i go to my coaching classes and complete all my modules, am still not satisfied with preparation for every upcoming mock test, on the other side my friends are solving so many books:
cengage series, hc verma etc
i have hc verma and dc pandey for physics
neeraj kumar for physical chemistry
Please suggest any good pyq book for inorganic chemistry
Is cengage for math preferred?
Also please help me with math trigonometry, i usually take a lot of time to understand a basic concept.

hi hi
.chem
do ncert inside out, you good for jee main and neet :) you do not need anything else. honest advice for a sub 5k national rank easily
do only one book and complete it fully, then move to other books. Im good at phy so id say HCV if you want to really make your basics strong, DCP only if you want to practice good level + good variety of sums. Like Aman said the best advice only your teacher can give you but yeah this is my input :))
Do not go for any books instead do topicwise practice upto advance level @√-1
na i strongly feel differently about this. :D
no one provides 'advanced level' questions. it is always a miss cos it is hard to make questions at the advanced level, it is usually flicked from a good book
so, go study from that source/good book directly is what was suggested in the .chem thingy
Coaching books have well written illustration + difficulty wise step step by questions for complete understanding specially built for cracking jee exams
Ghostyy has 490 rank in advanced he was my batch mate I agree coaching books have good advanced level questions
Except for some parts coaching makes them exceptionally hard for mind building so I don't think k those are
haha you guys do not need any books :D
I need them he don't
haan and most students aren't able to differentiate between them and fall into a trap.
cos you will be able to get to a solution by yourself. most students will need a bit of handholding, which almost never happens unless you are in a top batch
Yeah therefore advanced level questions can be sought out mostly the hard ones are asked in tests pyqs are the way to go I think so
Yea that's tru
.cengage
For maths go with blackbook
But make sure to keep a maths teacher handy for doubts
For trigonometry I suggest you to remember the formulae and find different type of questions and store them
@√-1
store them?
