Oxford cloth shirts in your dress shirt size Or slim fit button up shirts Do you know what size you wear in a blazer or suit jacket? That's basically the distance around your chest. Divide that number in half, and that's what you should look for in the pit-to-pit measurement of shirts, jackets, etc

You could also look for brands with tall sizes. You are probably a small or medium, but you need a long size.

Yeah, I usually wear larges because they fit me lengthwise, but I could fit in a medium So how should I measure for my chest size? Should I do it right under my armpits?

Like, you are probably around a 38L in blazers Yes, under your pits, around chest. But see if you can find brands with long/tall sizes. I think J. Crew has that sometimes

37 Since I have it right now, but other measurements should I take 35 1/2 to be precise

You can also use that measurement to check sizing guides on websites

But the fact is that most clothing is made for people who are shorter and fatter than you. (I don't mean that as a judgment or insult against you or anyone...just the way it is)

What up fellow tall/skinny fella. I'm if anything even lankier than you. Shirts are a pain in the ass, but you've got some good advice in here already. For jeans, get your measurements, and look to try on pairs that are listed as a relaxed fit, it might take some trial and error (trust me having a 32" waist / 35" inseam sucks)

I'm 6'3 160lbs, and none of my shirting is slim fit. Your shirts might just feel too big for you because your pants are so slim fitting. Maybe try finding some pants that match the roominess of the shirts you already own instead of trying to change out your whole wardrobe. Also, speaking from experience here, your shirts might feel too short on your torso because your pants are too low rise.
