Looking for black leather shoes, probably derbies, that are comfortable to wear all day on your feet and are also not ugly (or are the right kind of ugly)
hopefully something roomy and/or padded that I can shove an insole/insert into
I like the idea of longwings. I also like the idea of sneaker/dress shoe hybrids if they’re done well

I like my chambords although I have had some comfort issues with them lol

these campers had also previously caught my eye but I figured the closed lacing might be uncomfortable for me (I have high insteps)

Could you do a black boot? The extra padding and support you can fit into a slightly chonkier boot might make them comfortable enough compared to a sneaker. I wear boots on most days and can't complain, they're comfier than most of my fashion-ish sneaks.

Do you have any insight into how this works? Is it just a last with a ton of room or is there some sort of “custom” element to it? I try to buy shoes like this second hand if possible

How comfortable are paraboots? Could they work?
Another idea that satisfies "black leather" but not "derby" would be black suede (or leather) sneakers
Paraboots are cool but I kinda need room for inserts or something extra cushy
