It seems like you're encountering the VAN9003 error, which indicates that Secure Boot is not enabled. Here's a basic guide to enable Secure Boot:
1. Restart your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI:
- Typically, you can enter the BIOS/UEFI by pressing a key during startup (like F2, F10, Del, or Esc). Check your motherboard or PC manual for the specific key.
2. Find Secure Boot settings:
- Look for a tab like "Boot" or "Security." The location of Secure Boot varies by manufacturer.
3. Enable Secure Boot:
- Change the Secure Boot setting to "Enabled." Ensure your system is in UEFI mode, not Legacy BIOS mode.
4. Save and Exit:
- Save your changes (usually F10) and exit the BIOS/UEFI.
For detailed steps, you can refer to this support article.
If Secure Boot is already enabled, ensure that your BIOS/UEFI and Windows are up to date. Additionally, verify that your system is configured to use UEFI mode.

you helped me here months ago
Why did you disable secure boot?
ive never disabled it
Restart Computer
Press Del key while booting to get into BIOS
Make sure it's in Advanced Mode (If it's in Easy Mode press F2)
Go to "Boot" tab at the top
Find: "CSM Support", Make sure its DISABLED
Find: "Secure Boot", Set Secure boot to enabled
Find: "Secure Boot Mode", It should be Standard, SET it to Custom
Find: "Restore factory keys", Click it, And click YES
You may get a pop up asking you to EXIT WITHOUT SAVING. Press NO
Indian tech support
I save and exit right
Yes
Press yes
still comes baack
^
Go back to your BIOS and make sure CSM support is still disabled
It’s back to enabled somehow
This happens whilst I’m trying to activate the secure boot
Save and exit first
Then try to enable secure boot
It for some reason enables csm support
When I’ve disabled it already
Make sure to disable secure boot
In one of the tabs you will see
Above 4G Decoding
and Re-Size BAR Support
make sure these are also disabled
Save the exit
Then try to disable csm
Save and exit
Then see if it actually saved this timeWhere are those can’t find them
@Saucywan
Somewhere
Try disabling CSM
And then look for those
Already done
Have you tried looking in the settings
For them
Miscellaneous
I give up
@Saucywan
@Saucywan let’s keep trying
restore your bios to factory settings
Where’s that
@Saucywan
I change this to custom in favourite right now
Maybe this is the problem
@Saucywan
?
You can stop pinging me by the way
I receive notifications regardless if you ping me
Shall I change that to custom
It was in standard before
And my apologies
You can try
I thought you already had it as custom
As that was in the instructions I sent
Yeah when turning the secure boot enabled
It still says that csm is loaded
Like I said please restore your bios to factory settings
The button should be in the bottom right
Or it will be in the exit menu
I told you I don’t know where that is located
^
It not in the exit menu
^
Or in the bottom right
Press load optimize defaults
Done
save and exit
Then go back to your bios
Show me if CSM is enabled or disabled
My whole bios changed
Yup
^
I’m now on advanced mode
Set it to disabled
Saving then exit
I go on bios again right
I feel so tempted to ping
Yup
Bro it’s acc anoyying
How bios option disappears after a second
I have to restart and go through the process again
I’m in
You disabled it and then saved and exited right?
Yeah
Since then what did you do?
Nothing
Did you set secure boot mode to custom?
Yes
Before you saved and exited?
Yes I’ll do it again
I didn't tell you to do that
Please follow the instructions carefully
I’m confused
I said disable CSM and then save an exit not change anything else
It says it should be custom here
No I don’t change it
It was always like that
I meant like it was already set as custom beforehand
Check if secure boot is enabled
It’s disabled
Do you have a usb drive
No
You most likely have some conflicting software on your pc
You could try doing a gpu driver update
But you most likely installed something that is conflicting with the bios
It also may be a bug with your current bios firmware with some new update to some firmware on your gpu or cpu
Which would require a usb drive to update the bios
Which you do not have. I would recommend trying a gpu driver update first
Okay
I’ve got smart fan downloaded shall I delete that
Also I got a 3060 do I need to upgrade
Update your driver's
Yes
So I need to upgrade my 3060
okay
ive updated my drivers and everything looks so diff
shall i go to bios again
Yeah same issue
I don’t think I can ever play again
The drivers of it yes
^
So you require a USB drive
Man
I literally upgraded my drivers
?
OK and if it didn't work then you're going to need to update your bios
How would I do that
Get a USB
Download the BIOS file onto that USB
Plug the usb into your computer restart your computer and then go to flash click on the bios file and it will automatically update your bios
fixed it, didnt even need a usb
